Texas A&M Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Lab

The Texas A&M University Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory is a 95,000 square foot, two-story building containing both laboratory and office space. This facility is used in the diagnostics, treatment and pathology of animal diseases for veterinary hospitals and clinics. The veterinary branch of Texas A&M is one of the busiest in the nation, currently handling 160,000 cases a year. Their goal is to protect public health while also protecting the health of livestock, pets and wildlife.

The work performed by DSI was unique and required very high construction standards. These labs are performing work with extremely dangerous diseases and carcinogens, so the work had to be of exemplary quality. The commissioning portion of the project was very strict, and all installed materials and equipment were minutely inspected to ensure all was correct per design and safety standards.
